How we help

Our programs support communities through every stage of a crisis: before, during, and after.

Emergency response

We deliver life-saving aid, including food, clean water, emergency shelter, medical supplies, and hygiene kits, as quickly as operationally and logistically feasible after a disaster’s onset.

Early recovery

We support cash-based assistance, temporary infrastructure repair, psychosocial support, and livelihood restoration so families and communities can begin to rebuild.

Community resilience

We build long-term capacity through disaster-preparedness training, stronger local early-warning systems, and climate-adaptation and risk-reduction projects.

Public education

We increase awareness of disaster-risk reduction and evidence-based preparedness, helping people understand the risks they face and how to act on them.

Everyday resilience

Trade-in-Favors

Trade-in-Favors is a free neighbor-to-neighbor favor exchange, available as an app and website. Neighbors post the help they can offer and the help they need, from rides and repairs to tools, skills, and a helping hand, and trade favors with people nearby.

Every favor exchanged builds trust and connection. Those everyday networks are what help a community check on one another, share resources, and recover faster when a crisis hits.
